Ordering, Shipping and Receiving Olympic Kilns
Once you have verified that you have enough volts & amps to properly run the kiln you are going to purchase, you can select the kiln and any options on the shopping cart page. Because our "Free Shipping" includes residential or school delivery and liftgate service when needed, the price shown in the shopping cart is the price you pay. After you purchase the kiln, we submit your order to Olympic Kilns, where they begin building your kiln to the voltage and phase specified, as well as configuring any options (lid counterweight option, 3 zone control etc.). Because each kiln is specially built to your order, you are charged when you place the order. Olympic typically ships your kiln within 2 weeks, shipping will take approximately another week. You can contact the Olympic factory at any time to check the status of your order. When it ships we will contact you with a tracking number so you can follow it's progress. For residential deliveries the trucking company should contact you with a delivery time.
The information below is copied from the Olympic website, please read it very carefully. Your kiln will probably arrive in excellent shape, but if it is damaged in shipping it is vital that you follow the instructions they have provided so they can help you resolve any problem.
You have the option of refusing
delivery if the freight appears to be damaged. Check the count of the items
ordered, and note on the carrier's delivery receipt any shortages. If any damage
appears on outside of package, have the driver inspect the packages and note on
the carrier's delivery receipt the damage. Immediately after delivery, open all
cartons to determine if there is any concealed damage.
